I gained valuable experience working with small groups and individual students in need of personalized reading recommendations and remediation. Below is evidence of the differentiated instruction used with a variety of students.
Using this tool, students practiced being more aware of their reading and comprehension. While reading different fiction texts in guided and independent reading, students practiced identifying narrative elements as they read. These were marked with colored post-it tabs, which were used later when students completed written responses under the corresponding folder flap.
